About. Ghostly cowboys rendered in loose black brushstrokes across a white brick wall — like a Johnny Cash song made visible.
History. A whole series of these ink-wash figures runs through 12South: lone riders, guitar players, poker hands. The restraint is the point — two colors, fast strokes, maximum swagger — and they read beautifully in photographs precisely because they leave room for you. Artist unconfirmed.
