How the map works

Every pin on the map is a wall someone on our team has stood in front of. We record where it is, which way it faces and when the sun hits it — that is how the planner knows a west-facing wall glows at golden hour and a north-facing one is best under an even morning sky.

Addresses are deliberately approximate: many murals live in alleys, side lots and rear walls, so each mural page carries walking directions to the exact spot instead. Artist names are printed only when they are signed on the wall or confirmed by the artist; otherwise a mural is listed as “artist unconfirmed” until we can credit it properly.

Walls change. Pieces get painted over, buildings come down, new ones go up every month. If you find a mural that is gone, moved or missing from the map, tell us — corrections are the most useful mail we get.

For artists, walls and neighbors

  • Artists

Painted a wall in Nashville? Send us the location, a photo and how you would like to be credited, and it goes on the map.

Suggest a new art stop →
  • Businesses & sponsors

Local partners power the printed crawl sheets, the kids’ stamp stations and the district guides. One district sponsor and a handful of featured pins per neighborhood — never more.

  • Corrections

Wrong address, wrong artist, a wall that is gone? Tell us which mural and what changed and we will fix the map.
