History. Before Selma, John Lewis was a Nashville student — trained in nonviolence here and arrested at the 5th Avenue lunch-counter sit-ins of 1960 that desegregated downtown. In 2021 the city renamed that street Rep. John Lewis Way; walls like this one explain why. Artist being confirmed.
