History. Painted by East Nashville artist Kim Radford in August 2020 — started on the 13th, finished in a single day-and-a-half sprint. A downtown honky-tonk deal fell through, Radford asked social media for a wall, and The 5 Spot — the little club where new-to-town musicians play their first Nashville sets — offered theirs. The quote is Dolly’s own, from a Billboard interview, with butterflies standing in for letters where Dolly got colorful. It became one of the most shared walls in Tennessee within weeks.
