The story of The Nations
The Nations fills a bend of the Cumberland that spent a century as Nashville's industrial back lot — rail spurs, warehouses and the whiskey barrels of 51st Avenue. The craft wave brought breweries and makers, and with them the city's most monumental artwork: Guido van Helten's 15-story portrait of a lifelong resident on a concrete silo, visible for miles. The strip along 51st now mixes taprooms with murals in true working-neighborhood style.
